What is Strata?

Strata is a layered casserole often served for brunch. The main ingredients are usually bread, eggs and cheese. Meats and vegetables are often added as well for different flavor combinations. It is similar to quiche or a frittata.

Delicious Breakfast & Brunch Dishes to Serve with Breakfast Strata:

  • Easy Belgian Waffles are a weekend favorite at our house. Fluffy waffles topped with maple syrup and fresh berries are always a welcome addition to breakfast or brunch.
  • Sausage and Spinach Quiche is one of my favorites. Crispy breakfast sausage, spinach and smoked cheese baked with eggs in a flaky pie crust.
  • Chocolate Gravy is a real southern treat and if you haven’t ever tried it, you are missing out. It’s a favorite from my childhood and I love carrying on the tradition of making it for my family.
  • We always like to have a couple of brunch cocktails like these Pomegranate Mimosas, Pineapple Mimosa or these Virgin Peach & Raspberry Bellinis for the kids.
