  • Lil Smokies – mini smoked sausages. 
  • Pizza Dough – use homemade pizza dough or store bought. Substitute crescent roll dough if you don’t have pizza dough.
  • Egg
  • Everything Bagel Seasoning: poppy seeds, sesame seeds, dried onion flakes, garlic and flake salt.

Step-By-Step Directions for Lil Smokies Pigs in a Blanket

  1. Remove Lil smokies from the package, draining the liquid. Pat dry with paper towels.
  2. Roll out the pizza dough and cut into 1/2-inch wide by 3 – 4 inch long strips using a pizza cutter.
  3. Wrap a strip of dough around each cocktail wienie.

  1. Place on a greased or parchment paper lined baking sheet slightly apart. I am using an oven-safe Fiesta Tray. 
  2. In a small bowl beat the egg with a tablespoon of water. Brush egg wash over the dough. 
  3. Sprinkle with Everything Bagel Seasoning if desired. 
  4. Bake for 20-22 minutes or until golden brown.

  1. Remove from oven and serve with your favorite dipping sauce.
