Hot Dogs on a board with bacon, onion, ketchup and shredded cheese

I am an ambassador for Petit Jean Meats. They provided me with the hot dogs, hot links, smoked sausages, bacon, and cheese for recipe development purposes, but I was not compensated for this post. This Hot Dog Charcuterie Board recipe first appeared on the Petit Jean Meats site.

What is a charcuterie board?

Charcuterie is generally a selection of meats to serve for entertaining and parties displayed on a serving board or platter. These days folks are making charcuterie boards featuring everything imaginable. A Hot Dog Charcuterie Board is super easy to put together and a great way to serve up a summertime favorite.

How to Make a Hot Dog Charcuterie Board:

Arrange grilled hot dogs and smoked sausages in buns around the board in groups of 3-4. Petit Jean Hot Dogs and Bacon

We used a selection of Petit Jean Meats Jumbo Grillers, Red Polish Sausage and Smoked Sausage Hot Links.

Place toppings in small bowls with serving spoons and knives.

Best Hot Dog Toppings for a Hot Dog Charcuterie Board:

Favorite toppings can include: Creamy Coleslaw, Sweet Pickle Relish, Pickled Green Onions, candied jalapenos, crispy Petit Jean Hickory Smoked Bacon, diced red onion, and diced pineapple.

Shredded cheese is a great addition, we like Cheese N Garlic,  Cheese N Hot Pepper, and Smoked Cheddar. Be sure to include mustard, ketchup, and barbecue sauce

If you are a fan of chili dogs, this southern hot dog chili is definitely a keeper!

How to Grill Hot Dogs:

Hot dogs cook quickly. Add your hot dogs over a low fire and turn often. Keep an eye on them, they will burn easily. When hot dogs start to expand and sizzle, they are done. Move them over to indirect heat until you are ready to serve.
