How to Make Ground Beef Sesame Noodles with Broccoli

- Cook the pasta: Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook spaghetti according to package directions until al dente.
- Steam the broccoli: While the pasta cooks, steam or blanch broccoli florets just until tender crisp. Drain well and set aside.
- Brown the ground beef: Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Add ground beef and broccoli, cook until browned, breaking it up as it cooks. Drain excess grease if needed.

Make the sesame sauce: In a small bowl whisk together soy sauce, orange juice, maple syrup or honey, rice vinegar, toasted sesame oil and corn starch until smooth.

Combine everything: Pour the sauce into the pan (I used the spaghetti pan). Bring to a simmer and cook until slightly thickened, whisking occasionally. Add cooked spaghetti and ground beef. Toss with tongs to mix well. Stir in broccoli and garnish with green onions and sesame seeds.

What to Serve with Sesame Noodles
This dish is great on its own but also pairs well with egg rolls, potstickers or our Thai cucumber salad. For an easy dinner spread, serve with fresh fruit or a Asian style slaw.

This is the kind of dinner that earns a spot in your regular rotation. The sauce comes together quickly, the noodles soak up every bit of that sesame flavor and the broccoli keeps it feeling balanced without extra work. It is simple enough for a weeknight but good enough that no one asks what else is for dinner.
