What is Meal Prep?

Prepping meal ingredients ahead of time and even preparing the recipe and dividing them up into perfectly portioned containers. This makes it just as easy to have a healthy meal as it is to hit the drive thru for takeout.

I love the healthier recipes and this is a great way to get a handle on portion control. When it comes to will power and moderation, I have none.

I have been really interested in meal prep and this cookbook really put it all into perspective of how easy it can be! There’s also tips for cooking in bulk and lists of what tools you need and easy instructions for freezer meals.

More recipes I have bookmarked from this cookbook to try: White Beans with Sausage and Stir-Fried Kale, Greek Chickpea Power Salad, Mason Jar Lasagna and Sweet Potato Nourish Bowls. Every recipe sounds wonderful.

What You Need for Meal Prep:

It has always been a challenge to get my kids to eat breakfast and I love these breakfast sandwiches to pack with them as they head out the door.

Since my guys are voracious eaters, I made these breakfast sandwiches with large croissants. If you are trying to cut back on calories and taking portion control into consideration, the mini croissants are the way to go. Either way, they are filling and delicious and my favorite to have on hand.

I feel like super mom when I can be prepared with an easy breakfast without stressing. We are not morning people and I love anything that makes mornings easier. These Stuffed Waffles are easy too with just 3 ingredients!

More Ham and Cheese Recipes to Try:

Ham and Cheese Party Puffs are super simple as an appetizer or perfect for brunch with just 5 ingredients. Ham and Cheese Breakfast Casserole is a great make ahead dish for any meal of the day and great for holidays and my kids love these Breakfast Sandwiches.
