Ham and Cheese Party Puffs

How to Make Ham and Cheese Party Puffs:

  1. Unroll Wewalka Puff Pastry onto the package parchment paper or a lightly floured cutting board. Cut into 16 rectangles.
  2. Spoon about a teaspoon of peach or apricot jam onto each rectangle, top with ham and cheese.
  3. Fold two opposite corners together in the middle of each pressing them together.
  4. Place on a lined baking sheet and brush with a beaten egg. Brushing Puff Pastry Appetizers with egg before baking
  5. Bake for about 15 minutes at 425°.
  6. Garnish with fresh rosemary.

Serve hot out of the oven or at room temperature.

Ingredients

  • 13.2 ounces Wewalka Puff Pastry
  • 1/3 cup peach or apricot jam
  • 3/4 cup diced ham
  • 3/4 cup shredded cheese
  • 1 egg beaten
  • 1/2 teaspoon chopped fresh rosemary for garnish

Instructions

  • Preheat oven 425°.
  • Unroll puff pastry onto package parchment paper.
  • Cut puff pastry into 16 rectangles.
  • Spoon about 1 teaspoon of jam over each rectangle, top with ham and cheese.
  • Fold opposite corners of puff pastry together in the middle and gently press together.
  • Use package parchment paper to line baking sheet and brush with egg.
  • Bake for 15 minutes or until golden brown.
  • Garnish with fresh rosemary if desired.

      I cut the puff pastry into 16 squares. If you are using the Pepperidge Farm brand, I think each sheet will make 8 squares. I hope that helps.

      1. Yes I’m using the Pepperidge farms brand. I’ve not done this before so the 8 squares are in inches wide ? By inches long? If it’s 8×8 does this make it a good size puff? I’m looking for a small size for tea party food so I’m trying to figure out what size would be good!

  3. I am making these for Christmas Eve for the second year in a row. They’re great! I have also frozen them raw, then thawed and baked and they were good. Thanks for sharing.

  4. Lovely recipe. I brought these to a Christmas gathering yesterday, where I received many compliments on them. A few even asked how they were made, so they could do make in the future. My regret is I’m in Canada and the puff pastry that I purchased came in a package of two blocks, each block was 4“ x 4“, I had difficulties rolling it out into a nice square, so I could cut perfect squares. My first block I rolled to thin and got 12 uneven squares, the second block was much better then I was able to get nine 3” x 3” squares. Will definitely make this again. I baked these a short time before I had to leave and when I got to the hostess house, I popped them in the oven to warm them and they held up well.
