Pomegranate Pecan Party Appetizer is a delicious party starter with just 5 ingredients and 5 minute prep time. Perfect for holiday parties and dinners.
I often say that the appetizers are my favorite part of any dinner and this Pomegranate Pecan Party Appetizer is a real show- stopper! It’s so gorgeous for the holidays with the bright red pomegranate arils and fresh green rosemary.
Rosemary is one of my favorite fresh herbs and it’s the perfect flavor combination with the sweet honey and tangy pomegranate arils in this easy party appetizer. I even made a How to Make Pomegranate Pecan Party Appetizer video so you can see just how simple it is!
Say goodbye to the boring cheeseball this year and give this gorgeous party appetizer a try. You might be skeptical of the flavor combination but it totally works and don’t skip toasting the pecans, it really makes a difference!
I also love this recipe for last minute get togethers. I have been keeping pomegranate arils on hand. I just cut the pomegranate in half and let it soak in water for about 15 minutes. It’s super easy to get the arils out and then I just keep them in a covered dish in the fridge. They keep for at least 5 days but they don’t usually last that long. I love them in my yogurt!
I also keep toasted pecans on hand. They are the perfect topping for salads and I can’t resist just snacking on them. I’m so bummed that the birds or the squirrels managed to get all but a handful of my pecans again this year.
Emmet’s birthday is this week and we are having the whole family over for dinner and I’m definitely making this easy appetizer and these easy Cocktail Wienies with Grape Jelly Chili Sauce. Of course my Easy Party Punch will also be on the menu and a ton of shrimp! Maybe I will finally get around to sharing my mom’s famous cocktail sauce recipe with y’all.
Everyone always talks about how time flies but seriously, how is it possible that my baby is turning 13 this week? A teenager!!
I do love having birthday parties and holiday get togethers with the family. I don’t get too stressed over the details and try to create a comfortable atmosphere for everyone. Having simple party food and drinks really does help out.
I always have someone else take care of things like the ice, paper plates and napkins for these laid back holiday parties. Everyone likes to help out and it’s a few things I don’t have to worry about.
The holidays can be really stressful. I am such a procrastinator and I’ve just been swamped with work but I still want to entertain, so I just keep it all super simple. It has some awesome ideas, especially for those that are hard to buy for!
What ever your holiday plans, I hope that you can take some time to relax and enjoy it. I’m going to make a point of it this year. Emmet asked me if I could at least take off for Christmas this year. Ugh, how crazy is that? The bad part is, I don’t usually take off the entire holiday. I am definitely taking off for Christmas Eve and Christmas this year. No computer, no working! Just time with those I love.
I served this with crackers. Toasted baguette slices or apple slices would also be amazing! You are going to love this simple and easy party appetizer!
I also want to give a shout out to the pretty Fiesta dishes in this post. They are so generous to send them along to include in my food photos. They are my favorite for entertaining.
