Easy Candied Pecans

Easy Candied Pecans make a quick snack and are perfect for holiday gifting and entertaining. Crunchy pecans coated in a sweet rum glaze with a touch of cinnamon.

My mom got us hooked on Candied Walnuts and we love these candied pecans just as well. They are a simple and delicious treat that can be packaged up in cute jars for a hostess gift or to include in your Christmas cookie boxes.

These candied pecans are made with a buttered rum candy coating and a pinch of salt for a sweet and salty snack that everyone will love. If you love pecans, you will also love these Chocolate Pecan Pie Bars!

Ingredients Needed

  • Pecan Halves
  • Butter
  • Brown Sugar
  • Black Spiced Rum
  • Kosher Salt
  • Ground Cinnamon

Step By Step Directions

  • Line a rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper.

Pan of butter, brown sugar, rum, salt, cinnamon.

  • In a non-stick pan, combine butter, brown sugar, Black Spiced Rum, kosher salt and ground cinnamon.

  • Cook over medium- high heat and bring the mixture to a boil. Keep the mixture boiling for 1 minute.

  • Add pecan halves and stir until well coated.

  • Pour onto parchment lined baking sheet.

  • Spread in a single layer onto the prepared baking sheet.
  • Bake for 1 hour, stirring every 15 minutes.

  • Remove from oven and cool to room temperature.

  • Pecans can be served immediately after cooling or store in an airtight container.

These pecans are amazing as a snack or try sprinkling over ice cream, in oatmeal or yogurt.

Notes

This recipe will also work with walnuts or almonds.

Substitute water for Dark Spiced Rum if you don’t have it on hand. The alcohol will cook off, so the candied pecans are not boozy.

Store in an airtight container up to 1 week or freeze up to 3 months.

Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons salted butter
  • 2/3 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons black spiced rum
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 4 cups pecan halves
