Air Fryer Taco Bowls

Air Fryer Taco Bowls are quick and easy to make for a delicious weeknight dinner that is a little healthier than the takeout version that we all love. 

Taco salad has always been a favorite dinner at our house. Everyone adds their favorite toppings and there’s never any leftovers. This method for making the taco salad bowls is so simple and can be made in the air fryer or the oven.

Air Fryer Taco Bowls ~ Healthier Taco Salad Bowls

This 2 ingredient recipe is so simple to make and so much healthier than the deep fried version. Change up taco night with these easy flour tortilla taco bowls.

Ingredients Needed:

  • Flour Tortillas: Soft taco size or burrito size
  • Olive Oil

How to Make Air Fryer Taco Bowls:

  • You will need 2 small oven safe bowls to create a form. Alternately, you can use aluminum foil to shape the taco bowls.

  • Spray the tortillas with olive oil and rub over both sides evenly.
  • Place a bowl under the flour tortilla. 
  • Center the tortilla over the bowl. 
  • Place the second bowl over the top of the tortilla.

  • Place in the air fryer with the bowls facing down.
  • Cook for 2 minutes.
  • Remove the top bowl, using a pot holder (it will be hot) and continue to cook another 2 minutes.
  • Flip the tortilla and remove the bowl, using a pot holder.

  • Continue to cook another 1- 2 minutes until golden brown.
  • Repeat with remaining flour tortillas.

Oven Directions:

  • Place bowls or foil with flour tortillas on a lined baking sheet. 
  • Bake for 6 minutes. Remove the bowls and flip the tortillas. Continue to cook another 6- 8 minutes until golden brown.
  • Fill taco bowls with lettuce, taco meat and your favorite toppings. 

How to Store and Reheat:

  • Store leftover taco bowls in a zip top bag at room temperature up to 2 days.
  • Reheat in air fryer or oven at 350° for about 5 minutes until heated through.

  1. What is the air fryer temp to make the taco bowls?? I have an instant vortex 10 plus. It has racks instead of basket.
