- Smoked Sausage – or Italian Smoked Sausage (homemade or your favorite brand).
- Pizza Dough – homemade or store bought.
- Butter
- Garlic Cloves
- Honey Mustard, Ranch or Marinara for dipping.
Step By Step Directions for Smoked Sausage Appetizer Bites
- Remove casings and slice sausage into 1/2 inch thick slices.
- Divide pizza dough into 1 1/2 inch pieces, roll into a ball.
- Press your thumb down into each dough ball to create an indention.
- Place a sausage slice into each dough round, pressing the sides around the sausage.
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease.
- Place sausage bites onto the parchment about 1 inch apart.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes or until golden brown on the bottom.
- Melt butter in a small skillet with sliced garlic cloves. Cook over low heat about 5 minutes.
- Brush garlic butter over the sausage bites.
- Serve with dipping sauce.

- Store leftover sausage bites in a zip top bag in the refrigerator up to 4 days.
