My husband has always loved pineapple upside down cake and I've made the Carmel Apple dump cake, so when I saw your pin, I didn't think twice. I made it once and it was gone in 3 days. Today's his birthday and has asked for it again. Great flavor, and love the sort of custard that develops. Just delicious.
Milisa

Just made this tonite, I made with pineapple and cherry combo. I used lemon white cake mix and no nuts. Had my daughter over and it was so good I had to show her your recipe. She will make it tomorrow. It was delicious. By the way I am an 88 year old male and just started to learn to cook.
Milisa

I made your pineapple dump cake this afternoon and it was awesome! I did make a couple of modificafions though. I used one can of crushed pineapple in its own juice. The second can was pineapple pie filling. My husband isn't fond of nuts so I skipped those, as well as the brown sugar. The main change I made was the use of Duncan Hines/Dolly Parton southern coconut cake mix. So good!
Milisa
Hi Geni,
That sounds amazing! I'll have to try it with the coconut cake mix. I'm glad y'all enjoyed it.

Can I USE 2 cans of PINEAPPLE PIE FILLING OR WOULD IT BE TO DRY?
Milisa
Hi Betty,
I have never tried it with pineapple pie filling but I think it would work just fine because it works with apple pie filling and blackberry pie filling.
