Recipe Notes for Irish Martini Cocktails

  • Yield: 2 cocktails
  • For a Pitcher of Martinis: Multiply the recipe by 4 and stir into a pitcher. Chill and stir again before serving.
  • Best Irish Whiskey: We used Bushmill’s, Jameson is also quite popular.
  • Dry Vermouth: An essential ingredient for making martinis. Vermouth is wine fortified with herbs and spices. Keep refrigerated after opening.
  • Creme de Menthe: Mint flavor liqueur that can be green in color or clear, great for celebrations like St. Patrick’s Day.
  • Simple Syrup: Mix 1/4 cup boiling water with 1/4 cup sugar, stir until sugar is dissolved. Cool before using. Simple syrup can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for a few weeks.
