The classic martini is made with gin or vodka and vermouth. The Irish Espresso Martini is inspired by Irish Coffee, according to Food and Wine, developed by the famous bartender, David Bradsell.
We put our own spin on it, and I have to say, it’s one of the best cocktails, we’ve ever made. I’m not a huge whiskey fan but this drink won me over.
It’s a little different spin on our Salted Caramel Mudslide, which has become a social media sensation. We also love this Irish Martini for a fun St. Patrick’s Day green cocktail.
Do You Have to Have an Espresso Machine?
No, you don’t have to have an espresso machine. Dark brewed coffee that has been cooled will work just fine. I don’t recommend instant espresso though.
