How to Make Easy Garlic Bread:
- Slice a loaf of French or Italian bread into 1 inch slices and place on a baking sheet.
- Melt salted butter in a skillet and finely grate in fresh garlic. Cook over low heat for 5 minutes.
- Mix in chopped fresh parsley.
- Brush over bread slices and place, butter side up, onto the baking sheet.
- Bake for 7 minutes. Turn oven to broil for the last 2 minutes, keeping an eye on the bread so that it gets lightly browned but not burned.
- Serve immediately.

Recipe Tips and Tricks:
Use real butter and salted butter is best. If you only have unsalted butter, add ¼ teaspoon salt to the butter and garlic mixture.
If you want more flavor, stir 1 tablespoon of Mediterranean Seasonings or Italian Seasonings in with the butter.
For soft garlic bread, wrap the baking sheet with foil before baking and skip the broiling at the end.
Use a microplane grater for the garlic. This will give you the most garlic flavor without having chunky bits of garlic in your butter.
Buy several loaves of bread from the bakery and freeze one to have on hand. Bread will thaw quickly at room temperature for toasting.

Ingredients
- 1 loaf French or Italian Bread
- 10 tablespoons salted butter
- 2 large garlic cloves
- ¼ cup fresh parsley
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350°.
Slice bread into 1 inch slices and place on a baking sheet.
Melt butter over low heat in a small skillet.
Grate garlic into butter, cook stirring occasionally for 5 minutes.
Chop parsley and add to butter.
Brush over bread slices and place butter side up.
Bake for 8 minutes. Place oven on broil and watch carefully for 1-2 minutes until lightly browned.
Serve immediately.
