Amaretto Wine Cocktail ~ Easy Holiday Cocktail

Holiday entertaining is my favorite and I try to keep the bar stocked along with fruit juices to make easy cocktails. The Amaretto Wine Cocktail has delicious layers of flavor and comes together in just a few minutes.

Ingredients Needed:

  • Red Wine ~ Cabernet Sauvignon or Merlot
  • Cranberry Juice
  • Amaretto ~ Disaronno Liqueur 
  • Ice
  • Maraschino Cherries ~ optional garnish
  • Fresh Rosemary ~ optional garnish

How to Make Amaretto Wine Cocktail:

  • Add ice to cocktail shaker.
  • Add wine, cranberry juice and Amaretto.

  • Add the shaker lid and shake vigorously.

  • Strain into cocktail glasses. 
  • Garnish with maraschino cherries and fresh rosemary sprig if desired.

How to Make by the Pitcher:

  • Chill wine and cranberry juice overnight. 
  • Pour wine into a pitcher with cranberry juice and Amaretto. Stir well. Keep chilled until serving, stir before pouring.

Ingredients

  • 8 ounces red wine Cabernet Sauvignon or Merlot
  • 4 ounces cranberry juice
  • 2 ounces Amaretto
  • Ice
  • Maraschino cherries optional garnish
  • fresh rosemary sprigs optional garnish

Instructions

  • Add ice to a cocktail shaker.
  • Add wine, cranberry juice and Amaretto.
  • Cover and shake vigorously.
  • Pour into 2 cocktail glasses.
  • Garnish with cherries and rosemary sprig if desired.

Notes

To make by the pitcher:
Chill wine and cranberry juice overnight.
Use one bottle 750 ml of wine, 12 ounces cranberry juice, 6 ounces of Amaretto. Stir to combine. Keep chilled until ready to serve.
