Lemonade? Pineapple Lemonade in January? I realize that it is just the second week of January but I’m dreaming of warmer weather already. When I go to the bus stop in the morning and it’s just 3 degrees, I’m wishing for summer! This Pineapple Lemonade was my attempt at wishing for summer to come a little faster or at least for it to be above freezing!
The kids loved this Pineapple Lemonade and it was so easy to make. I have been keeping some pineapple juice around for cooking, adding to smoothies, and for making my Easy Party Punch.
I’m always on the lookout for good kid-friendly beverages and this one would be ideal for kid parties and even the Super Bowl. It’s so good that I guarantee the adults will love it too.
If you are looking to add a little cocktail action to the party I could suggest a shot of rum! Yeah, I tried it. It was good. It was great. I loved it. The only thing that was missing was a tiny little umbrella, oh and a lounge chair on the beach.
This is as close as I will be to summertime for now, so I will just enjoy it. How about you? Are you a cold weather person or do you crave the summer?
UPDATE: Aren’t those jar lids the cutest things! I bought mine from the Girl In Air Store and she was sweet enough to give me the link to a supplier! Lots of good stuff at Candle Soylutions.

great idea
What a great idea! Can’t wait to give this a try!
Oh I love this! After coming back from DR, I need as much tropical flavors now!
This sounds so delicious! And I love those jar lids…wherever did you find them?
I’m most definitely a warm weather girl. Growing up in south Georgia, just a few miles from Florida, we had hot summers and very mild winters. Now that I’m living in north Georgia where we do see an occasional snowflake in the winter, I find myself longing for summer from about the first of October until the end of March. I’m sure that if I built a nice fire in the fireplace, closed my eyes and sipped this drink, I could almost believe it was the middle of June.
Lana, thanks! I have update the post with a link to the lids, they are the cutest things!
What a perfect lemonade, I’ve never thought of combining these flavors, but OMG, I have to make this recipe now, your brilliant!
I love those drink jars. This sounds wonderful and refreshing!
Those lids are adorable! I really love the sound of this. I could go for tropical pineapple any time of year.
I’ve been gobbling up pineapple lately, too! It makes me believe the snow will melt faster and summer will come!
Well, you sure don’t have to worry about your lemonade getting warm this time of year.
Fun idea to serve a summer beverage in the winter — positive thinking!
