Tomato Mozzarella Pasta Salad ~ with Quick Italian Dressing

Fresh tomatoes paired with mozzarella, pasta and Italian dressing is a classic combination for pasta. This quick and easy cold salad is a great addition to just about every meal. 

Ingredients Needed:

  • Rotini Pasta
  • Cherry Tomatoes
  • Red Onion
  • Mozzarella Balls
  • Olive Oil
  • White Wine Vinegar
  • Brown Sugar
  • Granulated Garlic
  • Dried Basil
  • Dried Thyme
  • Dried Oregano
  • Kosher Salt
  • Black Pepper
  • Fresh Basil, optional garnish

How to Make Tomato Mozzarella Salad:

  • Cook rotini according to package directions, drain and rinse under cold water until pasta is cooled. Drain well.

  • Place pasta in a serving bowl.
  • Add mozzarella balls. 
  • Cut tomatoes into bite- sized pieces and add to pasta.
  • Slice red onion into small pieces and add to pasta and tomatoes.

  • Mix dressing together in a small bowl.

  • Drizzle dressing over pasta and stir to coat. 
  • Cover and refrigerate one hour before serving.

  • Garnish with fresh basil if desired.

How to Store Pasta Salad:

Store pasta in an airtight container in the refrigerator up to 3 days. Stir before serving.

Ingredients

  • 8 ounces rotini pasta
  • 1/2 pint cherry tomatoes
  • 6 ounces mozzarella balls
  • 1/4 cup thin sliced red onion
  • 1/2 cup olive oil
  • 1/4 cup white wine vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon granulated garlic
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • fresh basil for garnish optional

Instructions

  • Cook rotini pasta according to package directions. Drain in a colander and rinse with cold water until completely cooled. Drain well and place in a serving bowl.
  • Slice tomatoes and add to pasta with onion and mozzarella balls.
  • In a small bowl, whisk together olive oil, white wine vinegar, brown sugar, garlic, basil, thyme, oregano, salt and pepper.
  • Pour over pasta and stir until well combined.
  • Cover and refrigerate one hour before serving.

Notes

Store pasta in an airtight container in the refrigerator up to 3 days. Stir before serving.
