Step By Step Directions for Hamburger Soup

  1. Brown ground beef in a skillet over medium-high heat, breaking it up as it cooks to brown on all sides.
  2. Peel and dice potatoes, slice carrots and celery, mince the garlic.
  3. Bring the beef broth to a boil in a soup pot or large dutch oven.
  4. Add vegetables and minced garlic to boiling broth.
  5. Stir in the ground beef.
  6. Season with Worcestershire sauce, spices, salt and pepper.
  7. Cook at a low boil for 15 minutes or until vegetables are fork tender. Lower to simmer until ready to serve.

  • Store leftover soup in an airtight container in the refrigerator up to 4 days. To freeze, use a freezer-safe container, label with the date and freeze up to 3 months.

  • 1 pound lean ground beef 90/10 or 80/20
  • 8 cups beef broth
  • 3 medium potatoes peeled and diced
  • 1 medium onion diced
  • 4 small carrots peeled and sliced
  • 3 celery stalks sliced

  • 1/4 cup Worcestershire Sauce

  • 2 teaspoons onion flakes
