White Chocolate Date Bars ~ Easy Dessert Recipe
These quick and easy dessert bars are one of my favorites. They remind me of the bakery date bars that I loved growing up. Sweet, chewy and so delicious!
Ingredients Needed:
- butter
- brown sugar
- large egg
- vanilla extract
- all purpose flour
- old fashioned oats
- salt
- baking soda
- fresh Medjool dates
- white chocolate chips
Recipe Notes and Variations:
Add-Ins: Chopped pecans or walnuts add delicious crunch. Add a teaspoon of cinnamon for a holiday dessert.
Garnish: Dust the bars with powdered sugar after they are cooled.
Store: Cooled bars can be stored in an airtight container at room temperature up to 4 days.
Freeze: Wrap in 2 layers of plastic wrap and a layer of aluminum foil or place in a freeze bag. Freeze up to 3 months.

White Chocolate Date Bars
White Chocolate Date Bars are a classic treat to bake for any day of the week. A sweet and chewy cookie bar with delicious flavors. A great cookie bar to add to your holiday baking plans.
Ingredients
- ½ cup butter, melted
- ¾ cup brown sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup all purpose flour
- ½ cup oats
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon baking soda
- 1 cup chopped fresh Medjool dates
- 1 cup white chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
- In a large bowl, add melted butter, sugar and egg, stir together. Stir in vanilla. Add flour, oats, salt and baking soda and combine. Fold in dates and white chocolate chips.
- Pour into a greased 8 x 11 ½ inch glass baking dish, spreading evenly.
- Bake 25-30 minutes or until edges are crisp and bars are golden brown.
- Remove from oven and allow to cool. Cut bars in pan or remove to a cutting board to slice.
