Cooking on the grill is a great way to keep the house cool and this grilled corn makes for easy cleanup too.

This corn on the cob recipe turns out so buttery and delicious. It steams in the foil so it is tender, juicy and full of flavor that compliments your favorite grilled meats.

Ingredients Needed

  • Corn on the Cob
  • Butter
  • Green Onions ~ White and green parts.
  • Kosher Salt
  • Fresh Ground Pepper

Step By Step Directions

4 ears of corn on aluminum foil with butter and green onion slices.

Remove the corn husks and silks.

Place corn on a large sheet of heavy duty aluminum foil.

Slice butter into pats and place over the corn, season with salt and pepper.

Thinly slice the green onions both white and green parts.

Sprinkle over the corn.

Foil packet with corn on the cob.

Fold the aluminum foil into a sealed packet.

Cook on the grill or in oven at 350° for 30 minutes.

Remove from grill and carefully open the packet, it will likely steam.

Platter with 4 corn on the cob cooked with green onions and butter.

Serve immediately.

Recipe Notes

Storage: Store leftover corn wrapped in plastic wrap or a zip top bag in the refrigerator up to 4 days.

To Reheat: cut corn off of the cob by standing on end, on a cutting board and using a sharp knife to cut from the top to the bottom. Place in a skillet with additional butter over medium heat, stirring often until heated through.

Variations: Add 1/2 teaspoon granulated garlic and onion powder for additional flavor.

Ingredients

  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1 teaspoon fresh ground pepper
  • 2 green onions thinly sliced (green and white parts)

Instructions

  • Prepare a grill fire to 350°.
  • Shuck the corn if in the husk, removing the husks and silks.
  • Using a large piece of heavy duty aluminum foil, place the corn in the center in a single layer.
  • Thinly slice the butter, placing over the corn.
  • Season with salt and pepper and top with green onions.
  • Wrap the foil around the corn, forming a sealed packet.
  • Cook corn over indirect fire for about 30 minutes.
  • Remove from grill and carefully open the foil, watching for steam.
  • Serve immediately.
