- Brown ground beef in a skillet over medium-high heat, breaking it up as it cooks to brown on all sides.
- Peel and dice potatoes, slice carrots and celery, mince the garlic.
- Bring the beef broth to a boil in a soup pot or large dutch oven.
- Add vegetables and minced garlic to boiling broth.
- Stir in the ground beef.
- Season with Worcestershire sauce, spices, salt and pepper.
- Cook at a low boil for 15 minutes or until vegetables are fork tender. Lower to simmer until ready to serve.

- 1 pound lean ground beef 90/10 or 80/20
- 8 cups beef broth
- 3 medium potatoes peeled and diced
- 1 medium onion diced
- 4 small carrots peeled and sliced
- 3 celery stalks sliced
- 4 cloves garlic minced
- 1/4 cup Worcestershire Sauce
- 2 teaspoons granulated garlic
- 2 teaspoons dried thyme
- 2 teaspoons onion flakes
- 2 teaspoons smoked paprika
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon kosher salt
- 1 teaspoon pepper
Instructions
- Brown ground beef in a skillet over medium-high heat, breaking it up to brown on all sides. If using 80/20, drain excess grease and discard.
- Bring the beef broth to a boil in a soup pot or large dutch oven.
- Add potatoes, carrots, onion, celery and garlic to boiling broth.
- Stir in the ground beef.
- Add with Worcestershire sauce, garlic, thyme, onion flakes, smoked paprika, onion powder, salt and pepper.
- Cook at a low boil for 15 minutes or until vegetables are fork tender. Lower to simmer until ready to serve.
