How to Make Strawberry Turnovers

- Preheat the oven to 400° and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Thaw the puff pastry dough according to package directions. Once thawed, unfold it gently and cut each sheet into four equal squares.
- Spoon strawberry pie filling onto one half of each pastry square. Be careful not to overfill so the turnovers seal properly (I am a chronic over stuffer!)
- Beat the egg in a small bowl. Use a pastry brush to coat the edges with egg wash to help them seal.
- Fold the pastry over the filling to form a triangle. Press the edges together and use a fork to crimp and seal the edges of the turnovers.
- Brush the tops of the turnovers with egg wash. This helps them bake up golden and flaky.

- Bake for 18 to 22 minutes or until the turnovers are puffed and lightly browned.
- Allow them to cool slightly, then dust with powdered sugar just before serving.
