Spring is my most favorite time of the year. The weather is just warming up and it makes me want to grab a glass of ice cold lemonade and do a little front porch sitting.
Our log cabin has a wrap around porch. I've wanted a porch like that since I can remember and it is glorious. What better way to enjoy it than to kick back with a glass of homemade lemonade!
I always have a big bowl of citrus on my counter and that's really what got me to thinking about homemade lemonade. I can't believe I've never made it before, it was so simple and incredibly delicious!

- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup fresh lemon juice
- 1 sliced lemon
- Add 1 cup of sugar and 1 cup of water to a saucepan and heat over medium heat, stirring often just until sugar is dissolved. Pour into a mason jar to cool. Stir in fresh lemon juice and add 6 more cups of water. Stir until well combined. Serve over ice and garnish with lemon slices.
