Chai Latte Glazed Donut Holes

Sometimes I think I am obsessed with donuts.  I get these insatiable cravings, it is crazy.  Since moving to the new ranch we are pretty far from the local donut shop.

A quick run for donuts is pretty much out of the question.  So when the major cravings hit, I will whip up a quick batch using my favorite donut shortcut – can biscuits.

Please don’t hate on me for always having can biscuits on hand. Even though my mama makes a mean homemade biscuit and has taught me well, I still love the ones from the can.

I love to make breakfast for dinner on busy weeknights and they are just the ticket for a quick meal and there’s no mess.  So there it is, my can biscuit justification.

Seriously though, can biscuit fried donut holes are so simple! Sometimes I just sprinkle the donut holes with a bit of powdered sugar but this time I made them extra special with a Chai Latte Glaze.

The last time I visited my Grandma she sent me home with a tub of instant Chai Latte.  I’m officially hooked on it now, along with the rest of my clan.

I have to giggle a little every time I make a Chai latte because she called it Tai Chi instead of Chai Tea. Of course I will be saying that for the rest of days for giggling at  her.

I always made fun of her for calling the roll when she was hollering at us kids.  Now I can’t get my kids names right without going through the whole list.  Karma?

How to Make Chai Latte Glazed Donut Holes

It doesn’t get any easier.  I mixed up the glaze and then heated up a little oil in a pan. I cut the biscuits into quarters and rolled the dough into balls.

I just fried donut holes in batches and they cook up in just a couple of minutes. I dipped them into the glaze and then couldn’t stop eating them.
