Fresh Cherry Cake Mix Cobbler ~ Easy Dessert Recipe That’s Ready In No Time

This Cobbler is so easy the flavors you can choose are endless with the fruit and the cake mix! The cake mix I had was butter pecan, but use whatever you have on hand, like white,  yellow, or spice. With three ingredients, it really doesn’t get any easier! 

Ingredients Needed:

  • fresh cherries, pitted and cut in half
  • butter pecan cake mix (or flavor of your choice)
  • sticks butter, melted

How To Make:

Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees.  

Pour fruit into a 9 inch x 13 inch glass baking dish and sprinkle dry cake mix over fruit.  

Drizzle melted butter over cake mix and bake for 30 to 35 minutes or until cobbler is lightly browned and fruit starts to bubble.

Cool slightly and serve warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.

  1. I have fresh sweet Washington cherries to use up. I am going to put a pair of
    kitchen gloves on before pitting cherres. Three ingredients is perfect! Taking this to a cook out tomorrow for a late 4th of July celebration. Thanks so.much for sharing your recipe.

  2. Yikes. You need to stir after pouring over the melted butter, or you end up with clumps of dry cake mix on top. Hope the birds like it.
