Sausage Cream Cheese Crescents

- 1 pound breakfast sausage
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 cup diced onion
- 2 garlic cloves minced
- 8 ounces cream cheese
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 teaspoon kosher salt
- 1 teaspoon pepper
- 2 cans refrigerated crescent dough
Cook sausage in a skillet, breaking it up as it cooks until crumbled and browned.
Remove from pan to a paper towel lined plate and set aside.
Cook onion and garlic in the skillet with olive oil until onions caramelize.
Add sausage back to the pan with cream cheese, shredded cheddar, salt and pepper.
Cook over medium heat until cream cheese is melted and smooth.
Remove from heat.
Unroll crescent dough and separate into triangles.
Spoon filling onto center of each crescent and roll up.
Place rolls in air fryer basket with space in between. Cook at 380° for 12- 14 minutes until golden brown. For oven: place rolls on a lined or greased baking sheet and bake at 375° for 12- 15 minutes.
Serve warm or at room temperature.
Store rolls in an airtight container in the refrigerator up to 4 days.
Reheat in air fryer at 350° for about 3- 5 minutes. Can also be reheated in toaster oven or microwave.
