Preheat oven to 350°
Mix flour, sugar and butter together into a crumbly mixture.
Press into a 9 x 13 baking pan.
Bake for 20-22 minutes until lightly brown.
Mix eggs, brown sugar, baking powder, salt and almond extract together.
Mix in chopped cherries and sliced almonds.
Pour over baked crust.
Bake 22-25 minutes.
Remove from oven and allow to cool completely.
Mix together cream cheese and powdered sugar.
Place in a piping bag or zip top bag and pipe icing over bars in a crisscross pattern.
Cut into squares and serve.
