- 1 1/2 pounds lean ground beef
- 1 onion diced
- 16 ounces refried beans
- 2 cups picante sauce
- 1 tablespoon granulated garlic
- 1 tablespoon ground cumin
- 1 tablespoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon kosher salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 8 burrito size flour tortillas
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
Preheat oven to 400°.
Brown ground beef in a skillet over medium heat. Stir often, crumbling the meat as it cooks. Add diced onion and cook another 5 minutes or until onions are softened.
Stir in refried beans, picante sauce, garlic, onion, cumin, salt and pepper.
Spoon the filling into the center of each flour tortilla.
Roll up, tucking the sides in as you roll.
Place seam side down onto a rimmed baking sheet lined with parchment paper or lightly greased.
Brush burritos lightly with olive oil.
Bake for 12- 15 minutes until golden brown.
Serve with your favorite toppings like sour cream, pico de gallo, guacamole or homemade salsa.
Storage: Store leftover burritos in a zip top bag in the refrigerator up to 4 days. Freeze in a single layer in a freezer bag up to 3 months.
Reheat: Place in a dry skillet and cook over medium heat, cook for about 2 minutes per side or until heated through. Alternately, place on a sheet pan and bake at 350° for 6-8 minutes or until heated through.
