Italian Margaritas
Italian Margaritas are a refreshing and delicious twist on the classic cocktail. Easy to make by the glass or pitcher with tequila, amaretto, citrus juice and a splash of simple syrup.

- 3 ounces silver tequila
- 2 ounces amaretto
- 1 ounce lime juice
- 1 ounce lemon juice
- 2 ounces simple syrup
- ice
- honey - optional for garnish
- flake salt- optional garnish
- fresh lemon slices - optional garnish
Add tequila, amaretto, lemon juice, lime juice and simple syrup to a cocktail shaker. Add the ice. Cover the cocktail shaker and shake vigorously.
Rub honey around the rim of the glasses. Sprinkle salt on a plate and dip the glasses into the salt to coat the rim.
Strain margaritas into the glasses.
Garnish with lemon slices if desired.
For a pitcher: Multiply the recipe by 4 and mix in a pitcher. Serve over ice.
For simple syrup: mix equal parts boiling water and sugar. Mix until sugar is dissolved. Cool before using. Store in refrigerator up to 2 weeks.
