The Best Chocolate Cookies

These cookies are buttery, rich and have a touch of peanut butter that goes delightfully with the chocolate.  You really can't go wrong with these.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup butter melted
  • ¼ cup peanut butter I used crunchy but creamy will work too
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tablespoons brewed coffee
  • 2 cups all purpose flour
  • 1 ½ cups powdered sugar
  • ½ cup cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda

Instructions

  • In a large mixing bowl, stir melted butter and cocoa together until well combined.  
  • Add in egg, peanut butter and coffee, stir to combine.  
  • Next stir in powdered sugar until combined and then flour and baking soda until all is mixed together.  
  • Shape dough into about 1 ½ inch balls and place 2 inches apart on lined or greased baking sheet.  
  • Press carefully with fork tines to flatten.  
  • Bake at 350 degrees for 8 to 10 minutes, remove to wire rack to cool.
