Pineapple Dump Cake

Ingredients

  • 2 cans 20 oz Crushed Pineapple, do not drain
  • 1 15.25 oz Yellow Cake Mix
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup chopped pecans
  • 1 cup butter
  • Vanilla Ice Cream for serving if desired

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°.
  • Pour crushed pineapple with juice into a 9 x 13 inch baking dish. Spread evenly.
  • Sprinkle dry cake mix over crushed pineapple in an even layer.
  • Top with pecans.
  • Sprinkle brown sugar over the pecans.
  • Melt butter and drizzle all over the top.
  • Bake for 1 hour or until pineapple is bubbly around the edges and the top is golden brown.
  • Cool about 20 minutes before serving.
  • Top with vanilla ice cream if desired.

Notes

Store cooled cake, covered with plastic wrap 1 - 2 days. Cake may be refrigerated up to 3 days.
