Sausage Cream Cheese Crescents

Sausage Cream Cheese Crescents are a great grab and go breakfast or anytime snack or appetizer. Easily made in the air fryer or oven.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound breakfast sausage
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 cup diced onion
  • 2 garlic cloves minced
  • 8 ounces cream cheese
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1 teaspoon pepper
  • 2 cans refrigerated crescent dough

Instructions

  • Cook sausage in a skillet, breaking it up as it cooks until crumbled and browned. 
  • Remove from pan to a paper towel lined plate and set aside.
  • Cook onion and garlic in the skillet with olive oil until onions caramelize. 
  • Add sausage back to the pan with cream cheese, shredded cheddar, salt and pepper. 
  • Cook over medium heat until cream cheese is melted and smooth. 
  • Remove from heat. 
  • Unroll crescent dough and separate into triangles.
  • Spoon filling onto center of each crescent and roll up. 
  • Place rolls in air fryer basket with space in between. Cook at 380° for 12- 14 minutes until golden brown. For oven: place rolls on a lined or greased baking sheet and bake at 375° for 12- 15 minutes.
  • Serve warm or at room temperature.

Notes

Store rolls in an airtight container in the refrigerator up to 4 days.
Reheat in air fryer at 350° for about 3- 5 minutes. Can also be reheated in toaster oven or microwave.
