Yeast Rolls

- 1 1/2 cups warm water 95° - 100°
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 1 package 1/4 oz Red Star Yeast Platinum
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1 egg
- 5- 6 cups King Arthur all purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon kosher salt
- 2 tablespoons butter melted
Add warm water to a large bowl and mix with sugar and yeast. Let stand 5- 10 minutes or until yeast starts to bubble.
Mix in vegetable oil and egg.
Add 2 cups of flour, mixing to combine.
Stir in kosher salt and additional flour 1 cup at a time until mixture comes together into a dough ball and pulls away from sides of the bowl.
Pour dough onto a floured surface.
Knead dough for 3- 5 minutes adding additional flour 1/2 cup at a time as needed.
Flour surface again and place dough over flour. Cover with a flour sack towel and set in a warm, draft-free place to rise for one hour or until dough has doubled in size.
Punch down dough to remove air bubbles. Flatten out dough and cut into 4 equal pieces.
Shape dough into logs and cut each into 4 pieces, forming 16 rolls.
Tuck sides of dough under and roll between palms to form rolls.
Place on a greased baking sheet about 2 inches apart. Cover and allow to rise 30 minutes to 1 hour.
Preheat oven to 375°.
Bake for 12-15 minutes or until rolls are golden brown and cooked through.
Brush rolls with melted butter and serve immediately.
