Butter one side of each slice of bread.
Cut each slice into quarters and place half of bread, butter side down, in a 9 x 13 inch casserole dish.
Top with half of cheddar and smoked gouda cheese.
Sprinkle diced ham in an even layer over cheese.
Add second layer of bread to fill pan, butter side down.
Top with remaining cheese.
In a bowl, combine eggs, milk and cream.
Whisk in Worcestershire sauce, brown sugar, paprika, salt, pepper, onion powder and dry mustard.
Pour egg mixture over casserole evenly.
Cover tightly with plastic wrap and refrigerate 6- 8 hours or overnight.
Preheat oven to 325°.
Remove plastic wrap and sprinkle cooked and crumbled bacon over casserole.
Bake for 1 hour to 1 hour 15 minutes or until casserole is set.
Allow to cool 10 minutes before serving.
Garnish with sliced green onion tops and fresh parsley if desired.
