Whole Grain Waffles
Simple Whole Grain Waffles are a great breakfast for any day of the week. Filling and nutritious!

- 1 cup all purpose flour
- 1/2 cup whole wheat flour
- 1/2 cup flax meal
- 1/3 cup rolled oats
- 1/4 cup finely chopped pecans
- 1 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/3 cup melted butter
- 1 2/3 cup milk
- 2 eggs beaten
Add dry ingredients to a batter bowl and whisk together.
Add liquid ingredients and mix together just until it comes together, it's alright to have a few lumps.
Pour about 1 cup of batter into waffle iron and bake 2-3 minutes or until waffles are browned and cooked through.
Place on a wire rack until ready to serve.
Serve with butter and your favorite syrup, honey or a good slathering of Nutella.
