The holidays are inevitably the busiest time of the year and it’s also the time of year that we want to spend with family, friends and neighbors. I have some great tips for hosting a no fuss cocktail party that everyone will enjoy.

Since everyone’s schedules are jam-packed full, plan your party right after work on Friday. Make it casual, no need to dress up for this. We just want some time to catch up and visit while enjoying a quick bite and something great to drink.

Send out invites with a quick call, email, text or a shout out in the school pick-up line about a week in advance. Make a list of finger foods, drinks and any paper goods you would like to have.

Simple un-cluttered decorations and you can put together your favorite holiday playlist to make it extra festive.

Make sure to add your favorite Frito-Lay products, like Lay’s Wavy Dark Chocolate Covered Potato Chips, Stacy’s Pita Chips, Nut Harvest Milk Chocolate Peanuts, and Almond Toffee Bites, plus Smartfood Indulgences Raspberry Dark Chocolate Popcorn. You can pick these up a couple of days before the party.

I put this party together in less than an hour and kept it all really simple. I added a few of my favorite meats and cheeses to a big board with olives and Stacy’s Pita Chips. Sliced apples and few nuts round out the tastes and textures.

Pimento Cheese Spread is a must for every get together at our house and the Stacy’s Pita Chips were an amazing pairing.

Pepper jelly is a great addition to your charcuterie board! I love the sweet and spicy element it adds to a savory bite.

I  added some fresh berries with the Lay’s Wavy Dark Chocolate Potato Chips and it was the hit of the party and took about 2 minutes to put together.

I added some Smartfood Indulgences Raspberry Dark Chocolate Popcorn to little cups and topped it off with Nut Harvest Milk Chocolate Peanuts and Almond Toffee Bites for individual servings that are easy to hold while you are visiting.

I chilled some Stella Artois and it paired so well with the charcuterie and different cheeses. I always hear about serving wine and cheese but I’m telling you beer and cheese is where it’s at!

I chilled a few bottles of Pure Leaf Tea and also simmered up a batch with fresh ginger and cinnamon to knock the chill off!

Holiday parties are so much fun and the White Elephant Charity Exchange Party we had was a big success. Just be relaxed and enjoy the time with your guests, don’t worry about everything being perfect. A small intimate gathering is my favorite and I think your guests will enjoy the laid back atmosphere of this no fuss holiday party.
