Apricot Dump Cake

Apricot Dump Cake is a tasty dessert that is perfect for any day of the week. Apricot Pie Filling with a crunchy almond and buttery cake mix topping.

Ingredients

  • 2 21 ounce cans apricot pie filling
  • 15.25 ounce yellow cake mix
  • 1/2 cup dark brown sugar
  • 1 cup sliced almonds
  • 1 cup melted butter
  • vanilla ice cream for serving optional

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 375°.
  • Pour apricot pie filling into a 13 x 9 inch baking dish.
  • Sprinkle cake mix over the pie filling in an even layer.
  • Top with brown sugar and almonds.
  • Melt the butter, drizzle over the brown sugar and almonds.
  • Bake for 40 - 45 minutes or until well browned and pie filling is bubbling.
  • Remove from oven, cool on a wire rack for 15 minutes before serving.
  • Serve with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream if desired.

Notes

Store apricot dump cake covered at room temperature up to 24 hours or in the refrigerator up to 2 days.
Set out about 30 minutes to come to room temperature or reheat in the microwave for about 30 seconds to serve warm.
