Ingredients
221 ounce cans apricot pie filling
15.25ounceyellow cake mix
1/2cupdark brown sugar
1cupsliced almonds
1cupmelted butter
vanilla ice cream for servingoptional
Instructions
Preheat oven to 375°.
Pour apricot pie filling into a 13 x 9 inch baking dish.
Sprinkle cake mix over the pie filling in an even layer.
Top with brown sugar and almonds.
Melt the butter, drizzle over the brown sugar and almonds.
Bake for 40 - 45 minutes or until well browned and pie filling is bubbling.
Remove from oven, cool on a wire rack for 15 minutes before serving.
Serve with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream if desired.
Notes
Store apricot dump cake covered at room temperature up to 24 hours or in the refrigerator up to 2 days.Set out about 30 minutes to come to room temperature or reheat in the microwave for about 30 seconds to serve warm.
