Easy Candied Pecans

Easy Candied Pecans make a quick snack and are perfect for holiday gifting and entertaining. Crunchy pecans coated in a sweet rum glaze with a touch of cinnamon.

Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons salted butter
  • 2/3 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons black spiced rum
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 4 cups pecan halves

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°.
  • Line a rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • In a non-stick pan, add butter, brown sugar, black spiced rum, salt and cinnamon.
  • Cook over medium-high heat, stirring to combine. Bring the mixture to a boil and cook 1 minute.
  • Remove from heat and stir in the pecans, mixing until well combined.
  • Pour onto prepared baking sheet in a single layer.
  • Bake for 1 hour, stirring every 15 minutes.
  • Remove from oven and cool on the baking sheet to room temperature.
  • Serve immediately or store in an airtight container.

Notes

Try this recipe with walnuts or almonds. 
Substitute water for Dark Spiced Rum if you don't have it on hand. The alcohol will cook off, so the candied pecans are not boozy. 
Store in an airtight container at room tempearture up to 1 week or freeze up to 3 months.
