  • 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 425°.
  • Scrub potatoes and pat dry. Peel if desired, we like to leave the peel on.
  • Cut into shoestring potatoes, this vegetable chopper makes it super easy.
  • Place shoestring potatoes on a rimmed baking sheet.
  • Drizzle duck fat over the fries and toss to coat.
  • Mix garlic, smoked paprika, salt and pepper together. Sprinkle over fries.
  • Toss to coat. Spread fries in a single layer.
  • Bake fries for 15 minutes.
  • Turn the fries and continue to cook until crisp, about 10 more minutes.
  • Remove from oven.
  • Serve with additional salt and pepper and favorite dipping sauces.

Notes

  • Substitute for Duck Fat: Olive oil, bacon grease or vegetable oil will also work for these oven fries.
  • Storage: Fries are best served fresh. They can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
  • Reheat: Reheat fries in an air fryer for 3-4 minutes at 370° or in a 400° oven on a sheet pan for 8- 10 minutes.
