Peach Dump Cake

Ingredients

  • 29 ounces can sliced peaches in heavy syrup undrained
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 15 ounce box yellow cake mix
  • 3/4 cup melted butter 1 1/2 sticks
  • vanilla ice cream for serving optional

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 375°.
  • Pour sliced peaches with syrup into a 9 x 13 inch baking dish.
  • Spread peaches out evenly.
  • Sprinkle cake mix over the peaches in an even layer.
  • Drizzle melted butter over the cake mix.
  • Bake for about 30 minutes until filling is bubbly and cake is lightly browned.
  • Cool on a wire rack for about 10 minutes before serving.
  • Top with vanilla ice cream if desired.

Notes

To Use Fresh Peaches:
Use 6- 8 fresh peaches. Peel and toss with about 1/2 cup of sugar. Proceed with the same directions.
Peach pie filling will also work in this recipe.
Store leftover dump cake covered in plastic wrap in the refrigerator up to 3 days.
Reheat in microwave or serve at room temperature.
Dump cake is best consumed on the first day.
