Mustard BBQ Chicken Wings

- 2 pounds chicken wings
- 1 cup Mustard BBQ Sauce - recipe below
Prepare a 350° grill fire using pecan or hickory for wood smoke.
Drain chicken wings and pat dry with paper towels.
Cook wings over indirect fire on the grill with the lid closed for about 20 minutes. Check with a digital thermometer and cook until internal temperature reaches about 160°.
Pour 1 cup of mustard bbq sauce into a large bowl.
Remove chicken wings from grill into sauce and use tongs to toss wings to coat completely.
Return wings to the grill and close the lid. Continue to cook for about 10 minutes or until internal temperature reaches 165°.
Remove to a serving platter and serve hot or at room temperature.
Oven Method:
Place chicken wings on a lined baking sheet. Bake at 400° for about 20-25 minutes brushing with BBQ sauce and baking for an additional five minutes. Make sure internal temperature is at 165°.
How to Store and Reheat:
Store leftover chicken wings in an airtight container in the refrigerator up to 3 days.
Cooked chicken wings can be frozen in a freezer bag or vacuum seal bag for up to 3 months.
Reheat in 350° oven on a lined baking sheet for about 10 -12 minutes.
To reheat from frozen, brush with additional sauce and heat covered with foil for about 30 minutes.
