Air Fryer Fried Mushrooms are crispy and delicious bite sized appetizers. Breaded with Parmesan and panko bread crumbs air fried for a healthier spin on a classic snack.

- 12 large mushrooms
- 1/2 cup all purpose flour
- 1 egg
- 1/2 cup Panko bread crumbs
- 1/2 cup finely grated parmesan cheese
- 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon granulated garlic
- Olive oil
- Ranch Dressing or Marinara Sauce for dipping optional
Rinse and pat dry mushrooms. Slice in half if mushrooms are large.
Place flour in a small bowl. Beat egg in another bowl.
In a pie plate or shallow dish, mix panko with shredded parmesan, salt, pepper and garlic.
Dredge each mushroom in flour, then egg, then roll in panko mixture.
Place on a plate or baking sheet and lightly spray with olive oil.
Preheat air fryer to 400° for 5 minutes.
Cook mushrooms in batches, leaving space in between at 380° for about 10 -12 minutes or until golden brown.
Serve with ranch dressing or marinara sauce for dipping.
Conventional Oven Directions:
- Place breaded mushrooms on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or a silpat.
- Bake at 425° for about 12- 15 minutes until crispy.
