Hot Buttered Rum

Hot Buttered Rum is the classic holiday party cocktails. Made with a delicious cinnamon and spice butter, spiced rum and apple cider. Top it all off with a generous dollop of whipped cream for a decadent cocktail that will warm you up!

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup butter softened
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 2/3 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 2 cups apple cider
  • 3/4 cup black spiced rum
  • 1/2 cup sweetened whipped cream
  • 4 cinnamon sticks for garnish optional

Instructions

  • In a mixing bowl, add softened butter, honey, brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg and ginger.
  • Mix well, until smooth.
  • Place in a 4 cup glass measure.
  • Heat 2 cups apple cider to boiling.
  • Pour over cinnamon honey butter and top with rum.
  • Whisk together until butter has dissolved and mixture is smooth.
  • Pour into 4 mugs and top with whipped cream.
  • Garnish with a cinnamon stick and a sprinkle of additional cinnamon if desired.
