Hot Buttered Rum

- 1/2 cup butter softened
- 1/4 cup honey
- 2/3 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
- 2 cups apple cider
- 3/4 cup black spiced rum
- 1/2 cup sweetened whipped cream
- 4 cinnamon sticks for garnish optional
In a mixing bowl, add softened butter, honey, brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg and ginger.
Mix well, until smooth.
Place in a 4 cup glass measure.
Heat 2 cups apple cider to boiling.
Pour over cinnamon honey butter and top with rum.
Whisk together until butter has dissolved and mixture is smooth.
Pour into 4 mugs and top with whipped cream.
Garnish with a cinnamon stick and a sprinkle of additional cinnamon if desired.
