- 4 cups fresh or frozen blueberries
- 1 tablespoon lime or lemon juice
- 1/2 cup melted butter
- 2 cups all purpose flour
- 1 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 cup milk
- 3/4 cup buttermilk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
Preheat oven to 325°
In a mixing bowl combine blueberries with lime juice and set aside.
Pour melted butter into a 9 x 13 baking dish.
In a separate mixing bowl combine flour and sugar.
Add milk, buttermilk, and vanilla and whisk together.
Whisk in baking powder.
Pour over butter.
Pour blueberry mixture over batter. Do not stir.
Bake for 40-50 minutes or until center is set and edges are golden brown.
Serve with vanilla ice cream or sweetened whipped cream.
