- 2 pounds lean ground beef
- 1 teaspoon granulated garlic
- 1 teaspoon kosher salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 cup diced onion
- 2 cups Dr Pepper Barbecue Sauce
- 6-8 buns
Add ground beef to a large skillet and place over medium-high heat. Season with garlic, salt and pepper. Cook, stirring until it starts to brown. Add onions and continue to cook until onions are softened and ground beef starts to get crispy.
Add Dr Pepper Barbecue Sauce and stir to combine well. Lower heat to low and simmer about 5 minutes. Keep warm until ready to serve or put into a slow cooker and place on warm setting until ready to serve.
Serve over buns.
