Bacon White Cheddar Pasta

Ingredients

  • 8 slices Petit Jean Hickory Smoked Bacon cooked and crumbled
  • 1 pound pasta
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons all purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 2 cups whole milk
  • 8 oz cream cheese
  • 3 cups shredded sharp white cheddar cheese
  • 1 teaspoon granulated garlic
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon fresh ground pepper
  • 2 teaspoons fresh rosemary chopped fine

Instructions

  • Boil pasta just until al dente and drain.
  • Add butter to a pan and place over medium- high heat.
  • As butter melts, add flour and salt and whisk, cooking about 2 minutes.
  • Add milk and whisk until combined. Add cream cheese and continue to whisk until smooth.
  • Add cheddar cheese and whisk until melted.
  • Add garlic, paprika and fresh ground pepper.
  • Continue cooking until sauce is thickened and smooth.
  • Stir in drained pasta and cook for 5 minutes over low heat.
  • Top with crumbled bacon and fresh rosemary.
  • Serve immediately.
