Grilled Burgers

Grilled burgers are a year-round dinner staple at our house.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound lean ground beef 90% lean
  • 4 teaspoons worcestershire sauce
  • 2 teaspoons Mrs. Dash No Salt Seasoning or fresh ground pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1 large onion sliced thinly
  • 4 whole wheat hamburger buns
  • Romaine lettuce tomatoes for topping

Instructions

  • Add ground beef to a medium- size bowl. Add worcestershire sauce, Mrs. Dash and salt. Mix until well combined.
  • Form into 4 patties.
  • Add onion to a dry, non- stick skillet. Cook over medium heat, stirring often until caramelized. Remove from heat and set aside.
  • Preheat grill or grill pan.
  • Add burgers to the grill over medium-high heat. Grill hamburgers 5-10 minutes on one side (5 minutes for rare, 10 minutes for well-done)
  • Remove burgers and cover with foil.
  • Toast burger buns, cut side down, on grill for ~2 minutes. Remove
  • buns from grill. Place burgers on buns and top with onion, lettuce, and
  • tomato if using.
