Margaritas
Margaritas are the classic tequila cocktail and so simple to make at home. Mix them up by the glass or pitcher with just 4 ingredients for the best tequila cocktails.

- 4 ounces tequila
- 2 ounces fresh lime juice
- 2 ounces triple sec
- 2 ounces simple syrup
- Ice: cubes and crushed
- Lime slices for optional garnish
- Flake Salt for optional garnish
Prep the glasses by running a slice of lime around the edges. Sprinkle flake salt onto a small plate and dip the rim into the salt. Fill about 3/4 full of crushed ice.
Add ice cubes to a cocktail shaker.
Pour tequila, triple sec, lime juice and simple syrup into the cocktail shaker.
Cover and shake vigorously until the shaker is well chilled.
Strain into the prepared glasses.
Garnish with a slice of lime.
For a Pitcher of Margaritas:
Multiply ingredients by 4. Add ingredients to a pitcher and mix well. Serve over ice.
Make Ahead: Mix ingredients and refrigerate up to 2 days. Freeze in a zip top bag up to 3 months.
Margarita Mocktails: Substitute Sprite or club soda for the tequila.
