Add olive oil to a Dutch oven and place over medium-high heat. Add onion and garlic and cook 3 minutes. Add ground beef and salt. Cook, stirring often until well browned. Add tortilla soup base and black beans. Stir until well combined. Bring to a soft boil and lower heat to a simmer. Simmer for 30 minutes or until ready to serve.
Garnish with cheese, guacamole and sour cream or your favorite toppings.
