Hickory Smoked Chicken Wings

Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 pounds chicken wings
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 1/4 cup white wine vinegar
  • 3 tablespoons lime juice
  • 3 tablespoons honey
  • 3 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon Italian Seasoning
  • 2 teaspoons granulated garlic
  • 2 teaspoons black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon prepared mustard
  • 1/4 teaspoon prepared horseradish
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley for garnish if desired

Instructions

  • Prepare grill with hickory grilling wood for indirect heat.
  • Drain and pat chicken wings dry with paper towels.
  • Mix together remaining ingredients in a large bowl and set aside.
  • When grill reaches 350 degrees place chicken over indirect heat.
  • Close the lid and cook 15-20 minutes until chicken reaches 140-150 degrees internally.
  • Remove chicken wings to bowl with glaze. Toss to coat well.
  • Return chicken to the grill and brush with remaining glaze.
  • Lower grill temperature to 200 degrees and shut the lid. Continue to cook for 15-20 minutes or until chicken reaches 165 degrees internally.
  • Remove from grill and serve immediately.
  • Garnish with fresh parsley if desired.
